The Great Tribulation—Less Than Two Years Away Now

The Great Tribulation will begin around Passover of 2027, ushering in 3 ½ years of hell on earth. The time to prepare is now.

Great Tribulation: In spite of all the warnings of Jesus Christ Himself about “watching and praying” ( Luke 21:36), because “as a snare” shall global chaos sneak up upon “all them on the face of all the earth” at the end of this current age (vs. 35), Evangelical leaders seem clueless as to what’s going on in this hour. Even those who pay any attention at all to Bible prophecy are wrapped up in a false “Pre-Trib Rapture” hope that make their study of the end times largely an academic exercise.

Likewise, this waning interest in Bible prophecy is largely due to the emergence of the insidious influence and logic of Dominionism, a sixteen centuries-long heresy known as “Kingdom Now,” currently manifesting through its latest disguise known as “Christian Nationalism,” or the “Christian Right,” politicizing the Gospel. It seems every year, Pre-Millennial Bible prophecy ministries, anemic as they are, continue to die off due to the “popularity” of these Dominionist models.

And I can guarantee you, once a nuclear World War III comes about (the storied “Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse” war of Rev 6:1-8), yet without any Rapture, the Church world will have nowhere to go except to strengthen their shift to the kind of delusional fanaticism centered in Project 2025, now empowered by the second Trump administration. This is an important element of the “Strong Delusion” God is even now allowing in the earth, “because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved” (II Thess 2:10).

The only way to escape this strong delusion and “stand before the son of Man” (Lu 21:36), is for faithful and discerning Christians to take heed to the correct interpretation of “the Apocalypse” I am trying to describe in my book and in this website. No, there is no “Pre-Trib” Rapture, but there is one to come at the very end (I Cor 15:52; Rev 11:15; 15:16), when Christ is coming down out of the sky (Rev 19:11-14). And no, there is no 7 year Tribulation period to come, but only 3 ½ years, as the Book of Revelation repeatedly confirms (Rev 11:2,3; 12:6, 14b; 13:5). These two adjustments alone will greatly improve your understanding of the future, and just how short the time is.

Some Calculations

Great Tribulation: Which brings me to the main message of this article, that the Great Tribulation will be upon us in less than two years now, and Jesus Christ will return at Armageddon before the 2020s are over.

I know these sound like two very provocative predictions, but just hear me out. While I agree, I certainly don’t profess any infallibility when it comes to understanding the future, and I can’t guarantee things are going to play out this way. But the more I think about it, the numbers are just so compelling that I can’t help but sound like I’m actually prophesying here.

To wit, 2027 will be the 2000th anniversary of the year Jesus Christ began His ministry. While there has been some debate as to the accuracy of this, there has been a growing consensus within conservative Bible scholarship circles that Christ was born around 3 BC, making the beginning of His ministry at age 30 around 27 AD (Luke 3:23). From there, according to Daniel 9:26, He would be “cut off,” meaning, crucified, rise from the dead, and ascend into Heaven after a 3 ½ year ministry.

In other words, the beginning of Daniel’s 70th Week” (the last seven year period before the “restoration of all things”—Acts 3:21) would begin with Christ’s ministry, leaving a half “week” during the Great Tribulation period left to fulfill. And if that period begins with a war (The Four Horsemen, Rev 6) and ends with a war (Armageddon, Rev 19:11ff), the first should be around Passover of 2027 and the second around Tabernacles of 2030.

Furthermore, since the Feast of Tabernacles is the only Old Testament feast still unfulfilled in the New Testament era (Passover and Pentecost being fulfilled in 30 AD), I would assume that Christ would return to the earth some year around the Feast of Tabernacles, in particular, Tabernacles of 2030.

I know that sounds a bit complicated to you, and I can’t fully explain why God would make the mystery of the end times this complex. You would think surely He would understand just how busy and harried people are in these modern times when it takes a yeoman’s effort just to catch your breath. But He did warn us to lay up for ourselves treasures in Heaven and not on the earth, and tell us to prioritize Him above all else.

Yet how much time do churchgoers waste in obsessing over politics and saving America politically, when they could be devoting even a little time to studying the prophecies? It’s a question I’ve had for 50 years now as a Christian—just why aren’t people taking the signs of the times more seriously (Mt 16:3), and heeding Christ’s warnings about the deceitful nature of the last days (Mt 24:37-44, etc)?

Just How Far Gone Things Are

Great Tribulation: At times it hits me just how much I think in a way completely opposite to most Evangelicals. When the Democrats are in charge of the White House and Congress, I breath a little easier, knowing that I am safe from the worst threats of the times in which I’m living. For the Christian Right, it’s just the opposite. They’re all tied in knots worrying that Obama or whatever New Agey deceiver, a nascent monster who wants to spring “Globalism” onto the world deceitfully, might be the Antichrist, just plotting to take away their religious rights!

Now that Trump is back in power (which I expected would happen last year although I and so many others did all we could to warn people), most professing Christians feel a false sense of security. It’s because they’ve been trained for decades now that the poorly-defined “left!” is the fount of all evil in our time. They prattle on about their “values,” and how “the culture” doesn’t share “their values,” as if their fellow Americans were aliens from outer space.

Yet as anyone can see, ever since Donald Trump has become ensconsed again in his “power, seat and great authority” given to him by the Devil (Rev 13:2), he has been on a rampage to tear down all our laws, customs, values and traditions. If you can’t see that, you just don’t understand his agenda. For the last six months this man has been utterly hell-bent on destroying this country. It just confirms to me my theory that, bottom line, he’s a Russian agent of subversion, paid or bribed by Putin and God knows how many other autocratic enemy nations, to do everything in his power to, well…destroy the United States as a functioning democracy, certainly as the so-called “Leader of the Free World.”

The avalanche of daily crises and devastation has been overwhelming, almost hard to compile and keep up with, and I do apologize for such little commenting on it. The reason has been my efforts to bust a move to lead people to protect themselves from the inevitable fallout and the lateness of the hour. In a future article, I will try to explain what I’ve been up to the first six months of this year and my struggles to provide leadership and vision for a faithful remnant of a much-decimated global Church.

For now, I just want to get you thinking about this scenario outlined above, and to emphasize just how volatile and dangerous the hour is. The latest controversy seems to have finally caused a break in the bubble of gullibility so many in MAGA world have been living in for almost ten years now. Just as happened in the treachery between Abimelech and the men of Shechem predicted by Jotham (Judges 9:19,20), Elon Musk being pushed out the back door dropped the spiteful though obvious bombshell that “Trump is in the Epstein Files.”

Just Another Day of Roman Spectacle

Great Tribulation: For those of us in the reality-based world, none of this was surprising, because we knew that Donald Trump isn’t just in the Epstein files, he’s at the heart of them! Hardly any of this is news to those of us who have been paying attention all this time, we who want actual facts, not just talking points, bumper sticker slogans, myth and narrative fit for children.

In just one article last November, taped interviews with Epstein by Michael Wolff had him saying he was Trump’s “closest friend for ten years.” Yet Epstein described him as “a horrible human being,” with “no scruples,” who “does nasty things to his best friends, his best friends’ wives,” seducing them just to vex their husbands. When Epstein asked him why he acted this way, Trump allegedly answered, “Because it’s wrong.”

Now just think about that. No scruples. How horrible a human being do you have to be for the likes of Jeffrey Epstein no less, notorious sex trafficker to say that of you, that you’re a man with no scruples? Yet it perfectly dovetails with the conclusion of Roy Cohn, who at the end of his life, after having trained Trump in all the dirty tricks he knew said, “Donald pisses ice water.”

I mean seriously, what kind of a guy loves to stab his friends in the back? Can you imagine what he wants to do to his (perceived) enemies? Bill and Hillary Clinton were invited to Donald and Melania’s wedding, yet in 2016 Trump did not hold back from leaning into the most salacious slanders Hillary Clinton has had to endure ever since she was First Lady.

What else are we to conclude but that Donald Trump’s ideal is to be a rat, and the rattier the better. Researchers have discovered that from his earliest days in real estate, having to navigate the crookedness of New York City government and mob control of the city’s unions, Trump cultivated not just an infatuation with mafia culture, but a willingness to be an FBI informant just to “cover his ass” in case he got in trouble. In the loyalty-obsessed world of organized crime, that’s the very definition of what “a rat” is, someone who plays both ends against the middle, who demands loyalty from everyone around him but gives none out himself.

Yet it’s all part of his mystique as “the scoundrel who loves being a scoundrel,” the guy you “knew was a snake before you took him in” as he once put it, the guy who despises you because you’re all such “suckers and losers,” yet who will put you on his bottomless enemies’ list if you dare resist him. Yes, he’s the guy who has managed to terrorize an entire political party, insinuating he’ll unleash his goons on them and their families no less, if they don’t do what he says.

He’s the guy who loves to be called “The Boss,” the guy who attacks the world economy with his tariffs scam, because it will make all the world’s leaders come begging to “kiss my ass,” the very essence of all his fantasies. He’s the man of bottomless cynicism masquerading as world wise. He’s…well, just fill in the blanks.

So why do you think he wouldn’t betray his country in a New York minute for the sake of money? A man with “values” this shallow? Why are you surprised he loves dictators and hates courageous public servants like Vlodomyr Zelenskyy or Adam Schiff, and is so obsessively jealous of the outsized popularity of Barak Obama, to this day?

It all comes back down to something Evangelicals hung around Bill Clinton’s neck like a burning tire 30 years ago, the issue of “character and integrity” when it comes to politicians, at least those with a “D” after their name. Five independent counsels spent six years and $95 million investigating a $35,000 land deal by the Clintons, and all Ken Starr could come up with was a stained dress.

But marry, twas enough, and certainly worth it to satisfy that one subject Christians fancy themselves to be such experts in—sex. And now here we are, lo these 30 years later, bending over backwards to justify a man who is a known sexual predator, a lone predator like a leopard. And yet now, with the furor over the Trump administration refusing to release the Epstein Files, something he and his now-cabinet members had endlessly promised to their MAGA piranhas to do once they were back in power, even more evidence from Trump’s long history of assaulting women and girls is coming out.
