Is Donald Trump Running For The Office of Antichrist?
He has all the markers of the end-times character the Bible calls “The Beast.” Here are the clues and how he fits them to a T.

501st Anniversary of the Reformation
What can be said about Donald J. Trump that has not been said already? Entire forests of trees have been sacrificed into paper, rivers of ink expended analyzing his lying words and crooked paths. Like Jesus Christ before him through Whom “the thoughts of many hearts might be revealed” (Lu 2:35), so likewise does this lightning rod of a man represent a huge Divine test for the whole earth (Dan 12:10). You either get who he is or you don’t. Saintly hero or human devil, it doesn’t matter. Whatever your answer is, it says more to God about who you are than it does anything about Donald Trump.
Here is a man who seems to live to degrade everything around him including (but not limited to) culture, truth, history, standards and people. Everything he does is motivated by his deep-seated contempt for others, his sense of superiority and entitlement, his bottomless envies and jealousies, his desire to push the envelope of every bad thing that has gone before him.
His brashness, his audaciousness, his out-of-control hutzpah learned from Roy Cohn, years of relationship with mobsters and killers, being subsidized by and bailed out of one financial mess after another by an indulgent father, all have made him what he is—a spoiled brat of a grown man who has never been reined in. Like a willful angel (Isa 14:13,14) whose spirit has never been broken, he is a living rebuke to everything Evangelical icon James Dobson taught in The Self-Willed Child. Like Nero before him who was told he was a god and tested its limits by murdering any and all as he saw fit, so too Donald Trump is on track to become perhaps history’s worst of the criminally insane, the storied Antichrist of the end of the age.
Every day is a new episode in the daily soap opera that could rightfully be titled The Donald; every week there’s a new controversy he’s at the center of. In just recent ones there was a full eight-page no less New York Times expose on Trump’s lifelong tax evasion and fraudulent business career. In just one small aspect of it, it was revealed that his father Fred had funneled $413 million to him over the course of their relationship, contradicting the son’s long-proffered tall tale about starting out with “only” a million dollar “loan” from him. His father’s lifelong goal of passing his empire on to his children was destroyed by the incompetence of playboy son Donald.

Yet this stunning expose from America’s “paper of record” which Trump regularly dismisses as “the failing New York Times” peddling nothing but “fake news,” barely made a blip on the consciousness of his followers. They were too “enraged” by a trembling woman daring to tell the truth about his gang-rape planner Supreme Court nominee. In typical Trumpian fashion, it was not enough that Brett Kavanaugh’s whiney self-defense and partisan outburst more than made the Democrats’ case for them. The hero of Evangelicals just had to invert reality by blaming the victim naturally, for “falsely accusing this innocent man”![1]
More Than Just Another Episode
The Kavanaugh disgrace was singularly jaw-dropping. Not only was this hardcore, right-wing political operative rewarded with a lifelong Supreme Court seat but the scandal actually energized the Republican base! Their enthusiasm for the upcoming mid-terms not only jumped ten points, but Trump’s own approval numbers have hit an all-time high at around 45%. “He stuck to his guns,” is the basic reaction and yes it’s true, no one can outdo this man when it comes to bald face shamelessness. If of course, that’s what cranks your engine.
This past week’s crisis however may be evidence of a new level of sinister. With the story of the grisly dismemberment of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi, not only did Trump make light of the incident, it turns out he may have actually initiated the murder himself:
“The story originates in the behind the scenes personal war against fake billionaire Russian mob money launderer Donald Trump and very real ‘richest guy anywhere,’ Jeff Bezos, owner of the Washington Post and employer of Jamal Khashoggi [who]…began going after Trump as early as one day after the election…
The Khashoggi ban was requested by then President Elect Trump who contacted his business partners in the Saudi Royal family. Khashoggi had, for years, published in Saudi Arabia without a problem, only when he went after Trump did problems begin.
It got worse when he began writing for the Washington Post. When Trump called out for attacks on members of the MSM for “fake news,” he was, of course, referring to the Washington Post, owned by Jeff Bezos, currently world’s richest man, owner of Amazon.com…
This is how we were told it went down. Gina Haspel, who helped set up Saudi Arabia’s murder/torture/rendition program while working for the CIA, was invited to the White House. At the meeting, Trump, Pompeo former CIA director, and John Bolton.
Trump asked Haspel how CIA resources could be used to muzzle the press, particularly Bezos and the WaPo. Haspel then looked at Post personnel, coming up with Khashoggi, who could be gotten to easily and whose very public murder would be a warning to Bezos and his family and to others at the Washington Post.”[2]
If these allegations are true, just think about this scene. Only weeks before a critical election, the President of the United States is thinking, “What outrageous thing can I do to further drag world culture down into an even deeper ‘shithole’? How about bone-sawing a journalist alive in order to create a chilling effect on the press, the ‘Enemy of the People’?”
Talk About Calling The Kettle Black…
-“Donald Trump says, ‘The thing that makes life worth living is sleeping with your friends’ wives.’”
–Michael Wolf on The View, Jan. 10, 2018.
“A consistent theme in all the Fire and Fury excerpts is the irritation of everyone who deals with Mr. Trump at his inability to read, process information or even have a conversation…He demanded you pay him attention, then decided you were weak for grovelling…”[3]
I am not really interested in psychoanalyzing Donald J. Trump. I don’t really care what his inner motives or conflicts are, if he has daddy issues or is just one mean son-of-a-bitch at heart, a scoundrel who loves being a scoundrel. Nor do I care about how he got to be that way. As it was quipped about his son-in-law Jared Kushner that he was “born on third and began sprinting toward second,” so Donald Trump was born on third and began burning down the stadium. A nihilist at heart, he is a man who had everything handed to him and yet still something died within his soul that I cannot explain.

As such I simply don’t have any sympathy left for him though I don’t believe anyone’s destiny is set in stone. Having never made a good Calvinist anyhow, in what little way I could I’ve given him my advice in my writings. Both he and the mid-level Deep State surveillance agents that enable him, control freaks extraordinaire and drowning in guilt, are obsessed with tracking every little criticism that surfaces about them.
That advice has been basically, “Resign from the Presidency, do yourself and the world a favor, and get your own soul right before God.” But thus far his enormous pride and brawler’s nature have kept him from this most simple of solutions to the trap he’s in, (a trap that now includes the possibility of prison time from state charges in New York).
Truth be told, my only concern at this point is two-fold—to pull as many Christians out of the fire, “hating even the garment spotted by the flesh” as I can (Jude 1:23). That, and to bear witness to the real character of God and Christ before an unbelieving world, that surely deserve better than this.
Republican Scorched Earth Philosophy In A Nutshell
“Man is the most vicious of all animals and life is a series of battles ending in victory or defeat.”
– Donald J. Trump to People Magazine, 1982.
All throughout the Obama years many in the religious right never stopped indulging the provocative insinuation that America’s first black President was the Antichrist. I tried to explain to old friends why that was so wrong and why the Antichrist would be a fire-breathing right-winger, but they were unfazed. “The left” stood for a permissive society and that was that, never stopping to consider their own permissive attitude towards the psychotic/sociopathic elites church people can’t seem to get enough of (James 5:1-6).
Multi-trillion dollar bank bailouts, juicy defense contracts, subsidies for wealthy corporations, tax breaks and giveaways for the rich (Prov 22:16), the de-regulation of Wall Street to rip off the public—that’s the socialism they prefer. Welfare for Israel, deference toward Likudnik Jewish billionaire political king-makers like Adelson (gambling), the Monsantos (GMOs),[4] the Sacklers (Oxicontin), Singer, Icahn, Feinberg, Swartzman (vulture capitalism), the Bronfmans (liquor), the Mercers (hedge funds, Cambridge Analytica), is par for the course.

This is why so much is made of George Soros, Jewish himself, who routes his money through his Open Society foundation to promote democracy in the world. He’s one of the few billionaires “on the left” willing to do so, even though he isn’t really a part of “the left” (Marxism) at all. Like so many things in the right-wing world, establishing a false sense of equivalency and scrambling our brains is essential to hiding how far they’ve swung things to the right since Reagan.
Thus, supporting the “Mr. Potters” of the world is the endless masochism the Christian right calls their pathetic “witnesss” to the country and the world. Yet will Bible-belters have a conniption fit every time someone cheats on food stamps (Mt 23:24).[5] Have we become people who love inequity, or as it used to be called in the old English, iniquity (Prov 22:16)?
This barking up the wrong tree by my people is due to what I have been harping on for decades now, that when it comes to eschatology, Christians assume a whole lot more expertise than they actually have. Their alarm that someone like Obama—the most conservative Democratic President in my lifetime—could be the Antichrist comes from their shallow reading of the prophecies. They assume that this end times icon will be a slick, New Agey peacenik who comes out of “Socialist Europe” or heads up the United Nations. This they get only from one verse; “By peace he shall destroy many” (Dan 8:25). But as I argue in my book, American Babylon, American Antichrist, he will be an American right-winger and the peace could refer to Israel’s phony “peace” process.
Likewise, the Bible says all the earth will “worship” (fear) him (Rev 13:7,8 etc.), and despite the fact that most of the world has despised and feared Donald Trump from day one, they don’t make the connection.[6] Since there’s nothing close to a united world at this point, they either throw the Tribulation idea overboard altogether in favor of a fanatical Dominionist agenda, or they just assume that such a situation is not near at hand. So why worry about it?
Yet both are deadly assumptions to make. Like everything else in Bible prophecy, respect for the Word of God must be kept uppermost. God does not waste His breath, and if the mysteries are indeed mysterious, then it’s up to us to stay flexible, adjust to changing circumstances, and deal with the new understandings they reveal.[7] Clues about the Antichrist alone are numerous and must be constantly contemplated as we watch current events. And they all must fit together in a consistent way.
He’s Called The Beast, Not the Antichrist

While references to this character are scattered throughout the Bible, I would say that there are five main sections that reveal the most about him. They are Daniel 7, 8 and 11, Revelation 13 and 17, II Thessalonians 2, Isaiah 10, 13 and 14 and references by Jesus to the Abomination of Desolation in the Olivet Discourse. While we will go into these passages in depth, I would like to start by reviewing the names this man gets in Scripture.
We could start by noting that the title “Antichrist” is barely found in the Bible, the Apostle John alone alluding to a vague “antichrist [that] shall come” (I Jn 2:18). Otherwise, the only use of the term is by John again in his dealing with a Gnostic heresy playing havoc with the Church at the time. The Gnostics denied that Jesus Christ had “come in the flesh” (i.e., was God Incarnate) but was rather a mere enlightened man teaching gnosis (I Jn 2:18,22; 4:3; II Jn 7). John referred to all such people as “many antichrists.”[8]
In addition, the word suggests simultaneously “false Christ” and “against Christ,” both things this culminating character of history will embody. But “the Antichrist” as popular as it is, is not the most prominent Biblical title. I would think it to be “the Beast,” the name found in Revelation that captures so much of the spirit and nature of this man (Rev 13). It is a title that fits Donald Trump so well in so many ways, including a lot of his past which is currently hidden from much of the masses. However since “the Beast” is so easily confused with the beast empire of Daniel 7 and because “the Antichrist” is the popular name by custom, I will stick with the latter term in this series.
Such An Animal!
It’s interesting to note in passing that there’s a description of this last days Beast as a composite predator animal. In Revelation 13:2, John describes him as “like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion.”
Leopards are first and foremost predators that hunt at night (i.e., in the dark). They are also opportunistic hunters, moving quickly, solitary and territorial. When attacked aggressively they will retreat up a tree, and they excel in covering up their tracks.
The reference to the feet of a bear could refer to Trump’s paths which are long-intertwined with the Russians. And the mouth of a lion, well…King of the jungle anyone? Lots of roaring?
Other titles include the “King of Babylon,” a reference to the President of the United States (Isa 14:4; Jer 50:43, etc.). This is because I peg the US as another great beast, a last-days empire predicted in Daniel (7:7,19,23), and again under the moniker of the Great Babylon of Revelation 16 and 17. It is the thesis I develop in my book, American Babylon, American Antichrist, the foundational work of this entire website. In there I explain why the Antichrist will not be the head of the European Union, nor the head of the United Nations, nor some sort of worldwide dictator or some such thing, but the head of the United States and the protector of Israel, both of which defy the UN, especially during the reign of the Antichrist.
He is also called “the Little Horn” that emerges out of ten other horns on this last days monster in Daniel 7:8, 20-25, etc. A horn in Scripture is a symbol of authority and this one is said to have “eyes like a man,” a mouth speaking “very great things,” and a “look more stout than his fellows” (vs. 20). Other translations elaborate on the rather archaic “stout” to mean “larger” (AMP, LEB, NASB), “greater” (most others), “bigger” (CSB, ERV,NOG), “more important” (CEB), “more imposing” (NIV), “more terrifying” (GNT), “more visible” (HCSB), “greater in appearance” (ISV), “dominating” (MSG), etc.
And Such A Mouth!
The mouth speaking “very great things” they translate as “bragged, bragging, kept bragging” (CEB, ERV, EXB, TLB, NCV, etc), “boasted, boastful, boasting, boasting proudly ” and variants (AMP, GNT, LEB, NASB, NIV, etc), “arrogant, spoke arrogantly, arrogant words” (most others), “presumptuous” (GNV), “impressive” (GW), “pompous” (NKJV) and “proud words” (NLV).[9]

All in all, quite an array of witness. I don’t think it takes a rocket scientist to figure out who on the world stage today this is describing, especially considering the “dominating” power of the nation he now heads.
When Donald Trump actually won the 2016 election, it was this clue that upended my world. I did not in a million years foresee this man ever making it to the White House. (And truth be told, that election was indeed “rigged,” but in his favor as I’ve tried to explain in previous articles.) Until that point I was assuming Benjamin Netanyahu was on track to become the Antichrist. I knew this because the Israelis would never accept a non-Jew to be their messiah and because Netanyahu made it pretty well known he wanted to go down as such, or at least some sort of Jewish history hero. It is this clue, so glaringly obvious about the arrival of someone with a mouth far more brash than even Bibi’s, that has gripped me more than anything else ever since.[10]

Another title is that of “the Assyrian” who is introduced in an amazing chapter, Isaiah 10:5 and following, that has both an ancient and future fulfillment. There, God calls him “the rod of mine anger” Whom He sends up against “a hypocritical nation…the people of my wrath” (i.e. latter day Israel, vss. 5,6).
All this takes place toward the end of the Tribulation when “the Beast” the Israeli people have been “staying upon” (v. 20) to protect them, comes to his end (Dan 11:45). There “the Assyrian”[11] betrays them in a fit of impetuosity, pent up after years of being under the brow-beating of his Kosher Nostra mobster/handlers. It will likely culminate in the famous second Abomination of Desolation (Mt 24:15), wherein he desecrates a rebuilt temple in Jerusalem by declaring himself to be God (II Thess 2:3).
Finally in Second Thessalonians 2 we find three more titles for the Antichrist that are expressive of God’s contempt for this character. There, he’s referred to as “that man of sin” and “the son of perdition” in verse 3, and “that Wicked” in verse 8. A large number of other translations render the first two very accurately as “the Son of Lawlessness” and the “Son of Destruction.” A modern, colloquial way of putting the latter is “the son of hell.” Nothing better describes Donald Trump to me than a person who despises rules and the rule of law, even as he brashly proclaims himself the “Law ‘n Order” candidate.
The Trumpian Psychology
-“I play to people’s fantasies.”-
CNN’s Jim Acosta: “You said they’re in the caravan now [‘Middle Easterners’]?” Donald Trump, Nihilist, Gaslighter: “They very well could be.” Acosta: “But there’s no proof.” Trump: “There’s no proof of anything. There’s no proof of anything. But there very well could be.”
(Exchange recorded on Oct. 23, 2018, 21st Century)
It’s important to see the Antichrist depicted in the Bible as a composite character who “evolves” over time into an ever-worsening, criminally-insane personality. As Trump’s trajectory has shown so far, the more he gets away with, the more brazen he becomes.
In fact, he strikes me as someone with a “feeding frenzy” personality. “Getting away with” things excites him and propels him to greater aggression and upping of the ante. When news broke about nearly a dozen top Democrats getting targeted with pipe bombs by one of his fanatical followers, you could see how disappointed he was. Not for the outrageous crime of attempting to assassinate the top tier of a major political party, but because it broke the momentum of his fear campaign over the “caravan,” and he admitted as much. No phone calls, no condolences, no gathering of former Presidents at the White House for a show of unity. Nothing.
His first two years of incompetence, klutziness and the surprising amount of pushback he has received has kept him off balance. If he gets away with any more, his pathological ego and its overweening ambitions will propel him to do things this world can hardly comprehend at this point. God help us if he is not at the least slowed down by the upcoming midterms.
The minute he feels he can get away with anything, I predict we will see such a reign of terror, such a monster emerge as to literally leave “all the world wondering” what hit them (Rev 13:3). This is a deeply cynical man with an inexplicable vendetta against life itself it seems, whose apparent mission is to invert all reality in people’s minds (Mt 23:15) as this very insightful eight minute discussion illustrates.

He Evolves!
When the Bible says “he shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished” (Dan 11:36), it does not mean he will be an amazing problem solver and garner all kinds of legitimate accolades as so many have assumed. It means “he shall get away with” all his degrading and devious ways until God’s testing of humanity through him is finished (Dan 11:36; Isa 26:20,21; 24:21-23). This too is another source of perverse excitement to him.
Thus do I assume the “little horn” starts out as a liar and a boaster with a big mouth, yet is also a bumbling incompetent. Eventually as he shakes off those around him seeking to restrain him, as he indulges his unconventional wisdom and “gut instincts” more and more, as he perfects the art of provocation, divisiveness and appealing to the worst in human nature, he finds that people increasingly take him seriously (and/or are terrified of him), leading him from victory to victory (Dan 8:12).
Some have suggested he may even at some point become personally possessed by Satan himself. This purportedly happens after he incurs a deadly wound to the head that he miraculously recovers from (Rev 13:3,12). Only time will tell here, but the idea of someone as controversial as Donald Trump not attracting at some point an assassination attempt is hard to believe.
If this happens, his clumsy indiscretions will be transformed through the mouth of Satan into a slickness making him infinitely more dangerous. We do know that this Antichrist will attain unto the dubious distinction of being one of only three personalities in history so evil that they are all thrown by the wrath of Christ alive into the Lake of Fire (Rev 19:20; 20:10). No Judgment Day, no death first—nothing.

Daniel’s Witness
While some of these predictions therefore (or my interpretation of them) may appear a bit outlandish, remember that most of the clues about this character reflect the lowest points he will ever sink to (i.e., well into the Great Tribulation period his war mongering ambitions tripwire him into). Keeping this in mind, let us dig deeper into these key passages mentioned above, starting with those in Daniel.[12]
As was said, he’s first introduced in Daniel 7 as this loud-mouthed little horn that emerges out of other authorities of the American beast empire (7:8,20), even to the point of speaking against God (7:25), and Christ (8:25), and indeed all that dwell in heaven (Rev 13:6).[13] We also see that three of the other ten horns he emerges out of challenge him but he subdues them in his relentless drive to rule the world (7:8,20,24). In my book I give my reasons why I think this could be referring to blue state regions of the U.S. as he brings us all into a brief second civil war.
We also read that he is going to “make war with the saints” and “wear them out” (7:21,25; Rev 13:7; 6:9). While this refers to his strategy towards any and all who even now get in his way, it has an especial long-term fulfillment toward a faithful remnant of Christians who refuse his mark or other demands (Rev 7:3,4). The “saints” in mind there certainly does not refer to the Israelis or Jews in general as some seem to think, as if he will be a second Hitler (at least for the moment). Quite the opposite, Trump is in league with the powerful Zionist faction of the Illuminati. He would never lead a worldwide persecution of Jews in general, unless of course they cross him, even as most already are. But he already resents their control and will turn on Israel’s leaders at the end.
When it says they [the saints] shall be given into his hand “until a time and times and the dividing of time” (7:25), it’s a reference to the three and a half years of the Great Tribulation (Rev 11:2,3) which I think could start around the spring of 2021 if he’s not removed from office.
In 7:25 we read he will seek to “change times and laws.” This could refer to his changing the calendar to Hebrew years as a concession to his Zionist backers, destroying the Christian era time system (i.e., 2018 Anno Domini or “Year of Our Lord” [Jesus Christ]). “Changing times” could also refer to MAGA and his effort to point back to the “good old days,” while changing laws could refer to his contempt for and flaunting of the rule of law, due process, civil rights, the Bill of Rights and other basic democratic values for the sake of his own dictatorship.
The little horn symbol is picked up again in Daniel 8:9 and following. Even now Trump is “talking up” a vast military buildup, completely unnecessary, that he will roll out as the great conqueror beginning a nuclear World War III wherein he of course will play the (literal) white knight (Rev 6:2). This will open up the Great Tribulation period resulting in “astounding devastation” (8:24) in the world and tremendous destabilization of the Middle East in particular. Orchestrating a fight with Iran at Bibi Netanyahu’s request could be the trip wire here.
Thus in 8:9 we read he “waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land.” It is during these years and his intrigues with the Israelis that he really starts to go off the deep end of megalomania, leading to Israel’s oppression and betrayal by him. Details of his own Waterloo days there are given in Daniel 11:40-45, leading to Armageddon and the worst of the Tribulation’s judgments (12:1).
While God causes him to prosper in all that he does, it’s not just to allow him as the head of the Great Babylon to turn our nation into an even greater “hammer of all the earth” (Jer 50:23) than we’ve been thus far. It particularly is intended to pay back Christ’s most treacherous adversaries for centuries now, the Pharisees (Zech 13:3-5). Israel in particular will feel the sting of betrayal in a way they have been so cavalierly dishing out to the nations for decades now as “the Assyrian” turns his treachery on them (Isa 10:5,6). As cruel as it sounds, God’s attitude toward His wayward people is, “So, you don’t want My Messiah? Here, have this jackass” (Psa 2:4).
In 8:12 we read that he will “cast down the truth to the ground,” a trait already glaringly obvious with Trump’s constant lying, making things up and nihilistic attitude. It also says the little horn “practiced and prospered.” A couple of interesting variations on this come from the CJB (Complete Jewish Bible)—“It [the horn] flung truth on the ground as it acted and prospered,” and even more forcefully in the NET (New English Translation)—“It hurled truth to the ground and enjoyed success.”
Some Hardcore Clues
In 8:23-25 we find three verses just packed with rich imagery:
23 And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.
24 And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.
25 And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.
The latter time refers to our times, the last days. In that era at the end of human history under the control of sinful men, we see it will be a time when “the transgressors are come to the full,” old English for a time when evil will be perfected into a science or art form. Nothing could better describe these days of insane Machiavellian “covert government” dirty tricks, rampant organized crime, political and financial corruption than that.
The Antichrist is a “king of fierce countenance.” If you’ve ever seen Trump put on that sullen, stern, mean look of his, you know exactly what that means. Other translations substitute for fierce, “insolent, ruthless, stern, arrogant, dangerous, bold, shameless, cruel, impudent”—all just describing his “look.” While this is something of a general trait seeing as how anyone in a certain mood can be made to look stern, Donald Trump seems to go out of his way to intimidate people in this way.

“Understanding dark sentences” is elsewhere translated as “skilled in intrigue and cunning,” “understanding dark trickery and craftiness,” a “master of deception/intrigue,” “cannot be trusted,” “skilled in riddles,” “skilled in intrigue” (most common), “understands secret things,” “hidden things,” etc. This not only refers to his being an insider to the hidden deceits that take place behind the scenes in these devious times, but perhaps also to his mockery of his own clueless base, dropping little cryptic clues QAnon-style.
For instance, when Trump recently claimed that hidden within that “caravan” coming up to the southern border were “really bad people,” he may be right. I would think th ough they were not “Middle Easterners” (although that is possible—ISIS fighters are being transported out of Syria into the West to terrorize the public as we speak) but perhaps some gang members and coyotes that Trump or his network of mob backers could have contracted with to initiate this stunt, blame it on “Soros,” and time it for just before the mid-term elections. That kind of intrigue.[14]
While Trump is but an amateur in Machiavellian tactics compared to the pros, handlers and mobsters much higher up the money pyramid, it doesn’t mean he doesn’t have a long history of his own as a manipulator and deceiver. Indeed, this is how he sees himself as “the people’s hero,” when he’s only fighting his competition. Over the years multitudes of people have been stiffed and sued by him for nothing more than expecting to be paid or see services rendered.
His reputation for calling in to New York media, “dishing” on his own playboy exploits in the guise of “John Bannon” and “John Miller” are legendary. This is a deeply cynical man who believes everyone is corruptible and a sucker is born any minute. Anyone who trusts such a person needs to examine his heart before the Lord.
“His power shall be mighty, but not by his own power.” If you’ve read any of my articles on Trump, you know that I do not believe he won this office by his own doing but has been a pawn of his mafia creditors for a long time. And between Netanyahu and the Kosher Nostra, that’s some big financial and influential power behind him. In the long term it also will refer to Satan himself being the animating power behind him (II Thess 2:9).
“He shall destroy wonderfully.” My favorite alternate translation here is from the NIV (New International Version)—“He shall cause astounding devastation.” Others describe his destructiveness as “astonishing, outrageous, unbelievable, amazing, terrible, fearful, extraordinary,” etc.
While this could be referring to the general wrecking ball of everything he touches (God’s “Chaos Candidate,” since God is an idiot too I suppose), my first guess is that this is an allusion to the literal nuclear devastation he will wreak on the earth. Trump is clearly in the middle of a completely unnecessary US military buildup, evidenced by his putting together of a war cabinet where no threat exists, ordering an upgrade of the US nuclear arsenal (and apparently testing them out on the Yemeni people,) and pulling out of two nuclear treaties.

All of this will be on the backs of the American taxpayers as he and his Republican enablers have vowed to gut Medicare and Social Security to pay for it. (It is also more evidence of how he is not Putin’s puppet as a recent article of mine argued.) “Through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand.” Statecraft, “Deep State” craft, deviousness, manipulation, dirty tricks, smoke ‘n mirrors, etc.
“And he shall magnify himself in his heart.” As if this needs any explanation.
“And by peace shall destroy many.” Most commentators interpret this to mean he will deceive the world into thinking he’s a peacenik, then becomes a war monger. This is the source of their outdated paranoia about the UN.
Does Donald Trump strike you as being a peacenik? In the realm of reality, it could be referring to the Palestinians whom he sold out and are now facing slow destruction. Or more likely it could refer to a bigger picture, future devious ways of misleading many nations as other translations bring out—“He will destroy many in a time of peace,” “just when they feel the most secure,” “when they least expect it,” “without warning,” “by stealth,” “when they are at ease,” etc.
“He shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.” Just before his demise (Dan 11:45) he will challenge even Jesus Christ Himself apparently, probably during his desecration of the future Jerusalem temple, trip-wiring the worst of the Great Tribulation (12:1; Mt 24:15-22). Being “broken without hand” probably refers to his fate by the returning Messiah who destroys him with the mere “brightness of His coming” (II Thess 2:8), throwing him alive into the Lake of Fire (Rev 19:20).
And Daniel Still Isn’t Finished
From Daniel 11:36 to the end of the chapter, we find out more about our “willful king” of the end times, and does that mouth ever keep being a problem! “And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done” (36). Not much change here.
In 37 we read, “Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.” Trump’s heritage is German and superficially Christian but he obviously only sees religion for its utilitarian value. “The desire of women” has been the object of a lot of controversy (i.e., homosexuality). It has also been speculated as referring to the Messiah whose mother all Jewish women wished to be. As for “Magnify himself above all”? No, I just can’t picture it.
In 38: “But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces…,” very archaic. Almost every other translation puts it, “the god of fortresses,” which he will “honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones.” This could just be an ancient way of referring to a bloated military budget or the American penchant for building underground fortresses all over the world. On the other hand it could be a vision the prophet had of this man literally offering such things to an occultic deity.
Verse 39: “Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain.” One of the most intriguing alternative translations to this obscure King James verse is from the ESV (English Standard Version)—“He shall deal with the strongest fortresses with the help of a foreign god. Those who acknowledge him he shall load with honor. He shall make them rulers over many and shall divide the land for a price.”
The idea is that he will attack a foreign country’s defenses, obliterate them then cut a satrap-type deal with its leader. This is vintage Donald Trump, right down to the Manichean “love/hate” attitude according to whether you suck up to him or not, all while exacting tribute (some of which he’ll pocket) from his new-found “friend.”

In 40-44 we read of resistance to him from other countries and his extensive military presence guarding Israel (“chariots, horsemen and ships”). In the process he will occupy or subdue Egypt, Libya and other nations, but trying to occupy all the earth is of course impossible, even for a large nation like the United States.[15] He reacts to news from the east and the north with characteristic “great fury” (44) to go after these challengers (the “kings of the east”—Rev 16:12), leading to the Battle of Armageddon (Rev 16:16; 19:17-19; Eze 38,39; Zech 14; Isa 63:1-7; Joel 2:1-11, 30-32; 3:2,9-16, etc).
The New Testament’s Portrait

“I could give you a hundred pictures of him [Mueller] and Comey hugging and kissing each other.”
-President Donald Trump, Eliminative Materialist to The Daily Caller, Sept. 4, 2018 A.D.
In Revelation 13 we read of the beast arising out of the sea (the masses of the earth) having seven heads and ten horns, and in 17 the United States is portrayed as riding its back during the Tribulation period. I am not going to go into the symbolism and mystery of his bodily parts and the like, but leave all that to my book. After all I do want you to get the book!
One thing to point out however. In these two chapters his designation as the Beast is in the context of when he begins to officially reign as such, during the earth’s worst time in history, the 42 months of the Great Tribulation (13:5; 12:6; 11:2,3). At that point he’s already terrorized the world by the boldness of his aggressions and as such, those who do not believe (13:8) will consider him invincible (13:4).
We also see the usual characteristics we’ve already mentioned—his blasphemy of everyone in heaven (vss. 5,6), his murderous campaign against true believers (13:7), his head wound (vs. 3), etc. In addition there’s a mark he issues without which people cannot economically survive (16-18), and that an “image” is erected of him. Some have interpreted “image” as referring to a hologram, apparently all the rage among dictators and celebrities lately (14,15).[16]

Chapter 17 is perhaps the most difficult and mysterious chapter in all the Bible and it’s a bit too much to delve into now. I will say that the riddle of vs. 8 that “he is [Domitian when John wrote], is not, and yet is again” refers probably to the revival of Caesar worship, the kind of a ruler most of the world thought was a relic from the unenlightened past.
In Second Thessalonians 2, aside from the residual titles we saw about this Beast of a man, we read that his “coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders” (2:9). We can infer from this that at some point he will begin to manifest miraculous powers, probably after he is taken over by Satan. Or, more likely, he simply fakes it by the use of holograms and advance technologies to create “lying signs and wonders” (II Thess 2:9; Mt 24:24).
We also get a stern warning from the Apostle Paul about the times surrounding the appearance of this guy, the ultimate false Christ. In a day when most Christians are not following these prophecies anyway (Lu 21:34,35), those who do are usually hoping for a Pre-Trib Rapture.[17]
The Rapture is an event that solves the problem of conferring immortality to believers who are still alive and on the earth at the time of Christ’s Second Coming (I Cor 15:51-53). Instead of opting for the natural explanation that this instantaneous transformation (I Thess 4:16,17) takes place as Christ and the saints in Heaven are on their way down to the earth (Rev 19), they place it conveniently at the start of the Tribulation period 7 years earlier, (incorrectly assuming the time length as well).
This has caused a heap of scorn to be laid upon them, not the least of which comes from many Israelis who “get” that their Christian Zionist supporters are egging them on into a disaster while assuming they won’t be here to participate in the suffering. It also magnifies a fairly minor event into a major one, with all the sensationalism of planes falling from the sky and the like that goes along with the wild Pre-Trib imagination.[18]
I don’t know if there was a First Century version of Pre-Tribbers around or what, but Paul in making his exhortation to not be “soon shaken in mind” warns the Thessalonians that the “Day of the Lord” (the Second Coming) will not come until “that man of sin” the Antichrist is revealed, and that that revelation will include his declaration of being God, possibly in a third Temple in Jerusalem (2:4). He also speaks of the emergence of a great “falling away” in the Church world as a precondition (Mt 24:10; Mk 13:12; Lu 21:16), something happening right now.
Finally, in Jesus’ Olivet Discourse He refers to that time at the end when the little horn with the big mouth commits a second Abomination of Desolation just before the Battle of Armageddon (Mt 24:15; Dan 11:31).[19]
The Antichrist Turns On Israel
“And it shall come to pass in that day, that the remnant of Israel, and such as are escaped of the house of Jacob, shall no more again stay upon him that smote them; but shall stay upon the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, in truth. The remnant shall return, even the remnant of Jacob, unto the mighty God.”
-Isaiah 10:20-21
In previous articles I’ve covered the central role of Israel’s elites in rigging the election of Donald Trump. Thus far they are pleased as punch at what he’s delivered for them. They will live to eat their words because no one will ever completely control this loose cannon of a man.
In Isaiah 10, 13 and 14 we have some fascinating passages about this man who is alternately referred to here as “the Assyrian” and “the king of Babylon.” What we have in these passages are prophecies that are known as “double fulfillments” to one degree or another.
As if all that we’ve looked at so far hasn’t been hard enough, double fulfillment prophecy is admittedly a very difficult part of Bible interpretation. In fact I’d say it’s the hardest to keep straight due to its vague, mysterious and complex nature. You can get lost in its weeds, it’s easy to abuse, and I wouldn’t want you to obsess over it too much.
I can think of several different ways it can apply however. One, passages using figurative language that are actually also a future prophecy. An example would be Psalm 22 where David’s account of his mental anguish is also describing the literal scene around the cross a thousand years later (Mt 27:46). Two, the same prophecy describing two different situations at two different time periods. An example of this might be Jeremiah 50 and 51 regarding the Persian invasion of Babylon (Dan 5), which has a second fulfillment in the coming destruction of the United States (something I explain in my book). And three, prophecies about an ancient situation that suddenly shift into a future situation, an example being Daniel 11 where the first part (1-35) is describing the exploits of Antiochus Epiphanes, then shifts into a last days passage about the little horn (36-45).[20]
These chapters in Isaiah seem to be a combination of number two and three. In Isaiah 10, verses 5 through 19 we read of the boasts of Sennacherib the king of Assyria (705-681 BC) whose predecessor had wasted and carried off the ten northern tribes (Ephraim/Israel) into permanent captivity, never to return. Here he is bragging about what he is going to do to Judah as well. By verse 17 however 185,000 of his army is destroyed by the angel of the Lord “in one day” (II Kings 19:35; Isa 37:36).

From verse 20 on the story shifts to the future and another latter day “king of Assyria” (the Antichrist) with all the same attitudes of the ancient one (Isa 10:7-14), including that “stout heart” problem (vs. 12). This takes place in the last days when a small remnant of Israel has returned to the land (vs. 22), when God is “making a consumption” (destruction) upon the land (10:23; 13:9) and indeed, upon all the earth (13:11; 28:22). In those days, Israel is looking to someone like Donald Trump to be the ultimate Shabbos Goy protector that they can “stay upon” (“rely on”—vs. 20).
Instead he turns on Israel, spoils them, takes their riches and puts a yoke on their neck. The Antichrist is used by God as His “rod of anger” (10:5), His “ax and saw” (15), His “thorns and briers” (17), His “hammer of the whole earth” (Jer 50:23), His “destroying mountain” (51:25), etc. He even calls his armies His “sanctified ones” to execute all His anger (Isa 13:3) and “lay the land desolate” (13:9). Thus does this latter day “Assyrian” “lop the bough with terror: and the high ones of stature” in Israel “shall be hewn down, and the haughty shall be humbled” (10:33).
The scenes of destruction are even more vivid in Isaiah 13. There he’s called the king of Babylon with his “multitude in the mountains” (4) come to “destroy the whole land” (vs. 5; Joel 2:1-11). The implication is that, not just is that huge coalition of nations arrayed against Israel seen in Ezekiel 38 and 39 along with the “kings of the east” (Rev 16:12) come to destroy Israel, but even the American forces are turning on them. No one is left to defend them but the despised yet never late Messiah coming down from heaven. It’s only at that point that God moves to rescue His terrified and devastated people (Zech 14:2) and makes Jerusalem a “burdensome stone” to the nations (12:2-9). Without understanding this time context, Zechariah 12:2 has been a much abused verse used to justify the unwarranted indulgence of Israel’s endless demands in recent years.
Closing Arguments

As I said at the beginning of this article, you either get who or what this man is or you don’t. The shame I feel every day when I wake up to be an American Christian is ever with me given the pact with the Devil we have made with this madman. My only consolation is that eventually enough of us, along with a harvest of former detractors will become a remnant (Rev 7:9) bearing a faithful witness to this very confused world of the true nature and character of our God. I certainly think He deserves as much and I know He is not about to go down without a fight.
End Notes:
[1] It didn’t matter that Kavanaugh refused to agree to a thorough FBI investigation, it had to be a sham one controlled by the White House because Donald Trump is training the nation.

[6] This is probably due to their severe attachment to the Republican Party whose poisons this man is bringing to the surface like no one before. Even before he was elected, Trump wanted to know why we weren’t “using our nuclear arsenal?” Like you have to explain something like that to anyone.
[7] The United Nations for example, may have been intended at the first to be a prototype for world government, but thwarted as it is constantly by the American/Israeli entity, the only kind of “world unity” ahead may be the terror and chaos of an even more militarized American Empire under the Antichrist’s leadership.
[8] The entire letter of I John was taken up with refuting a number of Gnostic heresies such as their denial that mankind is sinful, only unenlightened (I Jn 1:8), and that He didn’t die as the Passover Lamb for the sins of all mankind (2:2), etc.

[10] In looking for a Jew aspiring to be the messiah, I must have been giving Israel more credit than God was. By mocking their rejection of the Man of His own choosing (Psa 2:2), by giving them a buffoon like this whom Israel is already hailing as the tough guy Protector they always wanted, they are inheriting the whirlwind. He will be their (and certainly America’s) ultimate undoing. Cf. “Israel’s Worst Nightmare.”
[11] While “the Assyrian” may sound very symbolic and a stretch for a title, there may be some actual connection in the ancestry of Donald Trump, for what it’s worth. His grandfather Friedrich Drumpf emigrated to America from Kallstadt in the Trier region of southwestern Germany. According to the 12th Century Gesta Treverorum, the historical record of Trier, this most ancient of European cities was founded by a bastard Assyrian prince named Trebeta who had to flee Assyria with his followers, settling in the Rhine area long before the Romans ever arrived.
[12] I do not believe that the figure “the prince that shall come” in Daniel 9 refers to the Antichrist but to Titus the Roman general who destroyed Jerusalem in 70 A.D. But there’s a lot in this book about the AC all the same.
[13] Who these other ten horns are, why America is this fourth monster in Daniel 7 and much more you can find in my book, American Babylon, American Antichrist. There’s too many details of this great end times mosaic for me to cover it all in my articles anyway.
[14] My best guess for what it’s worth is that if he is planning on skullduggery, it would probably be in the form of a terrorist event wherein Latinos are “caught” and we’ll be told they came up with the caravan when they did not. This is the level of intrigue and nitpicking we’ve been reduced to in this era of culminating madness.
[15] After the Four Horsemen war (Rev 6) I would assume the US population has been largely forced into the war effort led by the US Antichrist and the Israeli government.
[16] Since the Apostle John was probably seeing all this as a vision of the future, he may have been seeing a hologram. Jealousy over Erdogan’s hologrammic speech-making abilities could easily prompt Trump to imitate. https://www.theatlantic.com/international/archive/2014/01/giant-hologram-of-turkish-prime-minister-delivers-speech/283374/
[17] The “blessed hope” of His “glorious appearing” is apparently done in secret according to Pre-Tribbers (Titus 2:13). They also assume the “wrath of God” in I Thess 5:9 refers to God’s wrath during the Great Tribulation. But Paul is referring to hell here since this “blessed hope” is conferred on those who have already died anyway (vs. 10). Don’t feel bad. I literally sat down in a chair and cried when I found out that there was no Pre-Trib rapture (ca. 1975).
[18] The real Rapture will be a minor event I say, since there will be so few believers left alive on the earth by the Second Coming, most of them being out in the remotest parts of the world.
[19] When Jesus speaks of “the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet,” I do not believe He’s referring to Dan 9:27, the usual assumption of Pre-Tribbers. Daniel 9:24-27 is speaking about the Roman general Titus who destroyed Jerusalem in 70 A.D., not the Antichrist. Daniel 11:31 is the right reference since it was about Antiochus Epiphanes who desecrated the second Temple’s altar by sacrificing a pig on it.
[20] There is even a fourth way, reflective of Hebraic culture I once read, wherein a prophecy is said to be fulfilled when the real meaning is, “this is like that event.” Peter on the Day of Pentecost for instance, told the crowd of that the 120 speaking in tongues “is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel” (Acts 2:16). Yet the quote from Joel spoke of a time when “the sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood…” (19), referring to the Second Coming (Rev 6:12; Mt 24:29). When Peter spoke, there were no such signs in the sky. He only meant to draw a parallel between the speaking in tongues and the “sons and daughters prophesying” (Acts 2:17). Complicated enough for you?
The antichrist will unite; Trump is divisive. The antichrist will think to change times and laws; in policy, Trump upholds traditional conservative values. The antichrist will be as loved by the world as Trump is hated by it. But here he is, selling Bibles, with his face on an Israeli coin and a hand in the Abraham Accords, with his cult following. What gives? If the world is going to accept a false “messiah” (the Bible says they will), they will need to have identified an antichrist. Enter Trump, the man everyone loves to hate. By labeling him antichrist, he along with the values he represents, his Christian supporters, even the Bible, can all be condemned as the world trades good for evil. The antichrist will be accepting, affirming, progressive, ecumenical, and again, every bit as loved by the world as Trump is hated.
Your paper lacks persuasive elements and is heavy on name calling, bordering on slander. Your hatred has skewed your position. As one who is interested in eschatology and matters of the Divine and Most High your article misses the mark. One recommendation is to remember that the center of the world, Biblically speaking, is Jerusalem, not to be based in USA politics. Another recommendation is to remove any remarks with the purpose of defaming and insulting, you will find this will greatly shorten your writing to a more tolerable length. Facts are useful, especially over innuendos and having to force square pegs into rounds holes to make a point. Hopefully your future eschatological efforts will be more focused on revealing helpful info to those sincerely interested in the End Time events, when three fourths of the worlds population will be gone along with the inevitable Earth changes predicted. Which Bible do you use?
Wow, Don, we think alike on so many things, including the wrong use of the word “antichrist” which I have been railing against for years but after getting nowhere I’ve had to use the term. as people don’t understand who I mean when I refer to the “beast”. Here’s my thoughts (nothing more) about the way this could happen: since Trump is not at present mentally or physically able to take on the rulership as the Beast, it would take an event such as a stroke, heart attack or assassination attempt, for instance, to take him to death briefly, but with the NAR false Christians praying over him he would quickly come back after having been filled with the dragon’s spirit – ready to become the mighty king who desires worship.
