Why Does Donald Trump Always “Prosper”?

Why is it that Donald Trump always seems to “get away with murder,” doing things no one else could ever survive? Here may be the answer.

Many Americans innocently believe that if there’s any justice in this world at all, our national nightmare with Donald Trump, who has been deliberately destroying our government, society and standing in the world so rapidly this past year,¹ will soon be exposed, brought to justice…something. The prospect that he will survive to the end, to Armageddon, growing increasingly mad and evil year after year sounds simply too fantastical and depressing to believe.

This is especially true now that he is having serious trouble with his health. Despite much effort to bury all the details in darkness as is his wont (Jn 3:20), enough has come out about his “venous insufficiency” evidenced by his swollen ankles, and his obvious bout with dementia. His own worries about his mortality and condition of his soul also suggest he may not live through another year, let alone to the end of the 2020s.

But personally, I just can’t get around those prophecies about the Beast “always bragging” (Dan 7:20 NIRV), that he causes “astounding devastation” of everything around him (Dan 8:24 NIV), that he’s a one man army gaslighting and training us all in his inverted view of reality, and other similar dead giveaways. If Donald Trump, as head of a great last-days “beast” empire (Dan 7:7,19)² isn’t fulfilling these clues “to a T,” then who is? If and only when he is six feet under will I ever abandon the idea that he’s this eschatological character.

I know this sounds far-fetched, but if Trump’s health is failing under the stress of the Presidency (no big surprise there), the one possibility that he survives to 2030 might be if he becomes literally possessed by Satan. This is based upon a certain interpretation of the prophecy about the Antichrist suffering a deadly wound to one of his heads found in Revelation 13:3, wherein “the wound is healed,” causing all the world to marvel.

This is interpreted by many as a literal assassination attempt, wherein he dies and becomes resurrected and possessed by Satan himself, entering in and possessing his body. Myself, I am skeptical about such an interpretation, though nothing would surprise me at this point. Certainly, the last days will be a supernatural time period (Rev 11:5,6,11,12; 10:1,2; 13:13, etc).

God’s Thinking

But back to our opening thought. Two reasons why decent people cling to this hope is their inherent trust that God, the universe, whatever—is just, and this man simply couldn’t be getting away with such absurd behavior as he’s flaunting before the world.

I completely sympathize, but on the other hand, it might be our ignorance of God’s purpose in letting all this happen. In these last days God seems determined that the righteous will be purified, while the wicked will be forced to play out the absurdity of their ways:

“Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.” (Dan 12:1

This is because God is committed to “casting down imaginations (reasonings, false ideas), and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and (bring) into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ” (II Cor 10:5). As a result, eventually “every knee shall bow, and every tongue shall confess” (Rom 14:11; Isa 45:23), that “Jesus Christ is Lord” (Phil 2:11) on the Day of Judgment.

Yet another relevant principle would be, “Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit” (Mt 12:33). Here in the United States where most “Christians” are giving God such a black eye before the world, He is committed to setting the record straight.

All these sentiments seem to me to be the thinking of God here. How all this will play out on the ground, especially regarding the fate of the United States and Israel remains to be seen.

Credit Where Credit Is Due

I know it may sound arrogant of me to assume all this, as if I understand for sure why all this is happening. The truth is, I don’t, but I am willing to give my best educated guess. And while I sympathize deeply with my fellow commiserators, I wish I could give them all a better short-term hope. I’m talking here about all those comedians, journalists, public officials, academics, pod casters, writers, and people from every walk of life so valiantly fighting back against the Black Hole of Evil this man and the autocratic juggernaut of our time represent.

I myself am trying to fight back too, just to be a good witness of the heart and values of God in our world, but Trump’s re-election in 2024 didn’t surprise me. In my personal opinion, America went through two moral watersheds in recent years, the first being the Insurrection of Jan. 6 that he walked away from scott free. The second was the 2024 election. We had the chance to imprison this man once and for all and instead, enough grousers re-elected him.

To that list I will add a growing number of voices from the Christian world who always have been, or are finally, starting to understand what this man represents. Still, most of the leadership of this resistance is coming from the hated Democrats, secularists, agnostics, atheists and non-Christian religions who are showing more courage than the Evangelical circles who have enabled this reactionary right-wing-ism starting with Lewis Powell.

To such people I give my sympathy, and I hope what I have to say will encourage you to put your faith and consolation in God and the true Gospel. I would love to see all of us end up in Heaven.

Trump As God’s Judgment on America

As I write, it seems the Trump administration is embroiled in yet another moral outrage, this one about blowing boats out of the water in the Caribbean. This is naturally juxtaposed against his braying on about what a peacemaker he is (Dan 8:25).

It is all of course just a pretext for invading Venezuela and stealing their oil, the richest reserves in the world. But unlike the deceit of the Bush-Cheney regime and their covert intent to steal Iraq’s oil, Trump of course is making no apologies about it. In his perverse mind, being perfectly upfront and shameless about your criminality makes it all okay.

In doing so, he of course is invoking the long-standing, jingoistic, Ugly American side of our national character. What else would you expect from such a crude, contemptuous man? This very un-Christian attitude has plagued our foreign policy since 1890 when the United States made a deliberate choice to go from being a republic to being an empire.

This was something determined after a very loud, vocal and public debate at the time no less, a story I discuss in my book American Babylon, American Antichrist, the “textbook” for this website. Certainly, all of my lifetime post World War II, CIA support for dictators has continued to contribute to this very reputation.

Again, this is nothing new in American culture. Foreign policy especially, in the United States has long had this schizophrenic quality to it. One faction of the American planners has always wanted to spread democracy and free markets around the world. But there’s always been this other faction that simply wants to steal other people’s resources, make America a neo-colonial power, or simply reserve the right to intervene in other people’s affairs.

When I was young, if I’m not mistaken a poll revealed that 66% of the American public approved of a Lt. Calley leading a systematic execution, Nazi style, of hundreds of villagers in the Vietnam War.³ Just because Americans take for granted this hypocritical sense of entitlement doesn’t mean God’s anger against this nation hasn’t been burning for a long time.

Trump is just the last straw. His alignment with Vladimir Putin, the strongman emperor who has no clothes, while abandoning support for democratic Europe (not just Ukraine), is another tipping point. Not to mention’s Trump’s continuation of the grand old tradition of the US giving Israel carte blanche to genocide Palestinians.

Trump As God’s Judgement on Israel

Speaking of that American idol, Israel is God’s last stop on His own Retribution Tour (Psa 2:1-6). And there’s no American President more worthy of getting entangled in the consequences of such prejudicial, preferential treatment than Donald John Trump. Trump has long seen right through the pretenses of Israel’s sense of entitlement, but has been more than willing to go along with their “Greater Israel” ambitions.

During his first administration he did it largely because he could see it pleased his Evangelical base so much. During his second, it may only be because he’s now in full “stuff my pockets and I’ll do anything you want” mode. Miriam Adelson,⁴ the widow of the late casino magnate Sheldon Adelson, alone gave him $100 million dollars to put him over the finish line last year.

Bottomline, the Israelis expect a good ROI from their boy, but boy again, will they ever be disappointed! Is there anyone as narcissistic as Donald Trump, who has already been flattered by the Israelis as their “Cyrus” who will save them?

Spare me. Tell me you can’t picture him walking into a rebuilt Temple and declaring himself to be God (II Thess 2:3)? Having had it with being under the thumb of all the sexual kompromat they have on him and their annoying control, desecrating their precious temple will be his own “retribution” back at them.

Why Christians Can’t Picture This

This is the event known as the second Abomination of Desolation (Mt 24:15).⁵ This will not take place at the “mid-point” of a (seven-year) Great Tribulation as it’s often taught, simply because there is no seven-year Tribulation to come, only 3 ½ years.⁶

Jesus in describing this event in Matthew 24:15 and Mark 13:14 pictures it at a time when there “shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.” And by “great tribulation” (“affliction”—Mk 13:19), I do not believe He is referring to the whole 3 ½ year time period, but the most intense time of God’s wrath being poured out on the earth, the vial judgments (Rev 16:1).

Verses 29 and 30 go on to describe a very apocalyptic scene, with the sun and moon being darkened, first found in Joel 2:30,31. He goes on to describe Himself as the Son of Man suddenly appearing like lightning (the Second Coming—Mt 24:27). All these details suggest we are looking at the time of Armageddon, not some point half-way through a seven-year period.

In fact, if I had to pinpoint it, I would think it comes somewhere in between the sixth and seventh vial plagues poured out upon the earth (Rev 16:12). At this time, the Antichrist is pictured as in the middle of conquering and looting northern Africa (Dan 11:42,43). However, “tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many” (vs. 44). These “tidings” are news of the gathering of the kings of the east (led by China—Rev 16:12) and the king of the north (Russia—Eze 38:2ff)⁷ for Armageddon in northern Israel.

So, here’s Trump, vexed by years of humiliation and kompromat over him at the hands of Putin and Netanyahu both. He’s probably thinking, “This is the thanks I get for protecting Israel these last 3 ½ years. Israel’s a burden and Putin won’t play nice with a fellow dictator.” In other words, he won’t be in a great mood. But it all turns out to be a Divine bloodfest for all (Rev 19:18).

Why Donald Trump Keeps “Prospering”

It is said of this end-of-days Antichrist character that he will “prosper till [God’s] indignation be accomplished,” and that “he shall do according to [all] his will” (Dan 11:36; 8:12,24,25). It is also said he shall cause “craft” (statecraft or deceit) to prosper (8:25), and prevail in his war against the saints (7:21; Rev 12:17).

It’s important to understand the tone of what is being revealed here. God is not saying this man will be moral, ethical, competent, popular or any of the other usual factors in success. The idea here is, he will “get away with” everything he does!

And truth be told, this is exactly Donald Trump’s pride and joy. He has boasted many times that “I kinda get away with those things,” whether it’s walking into the dressing room of his teen beauty pageant contestants “to inspect the merchandise,” evading regulators and the law all those business years, skating after an Insurrection, evading jail after 93 felony counts, etc.

This is what turns him on. This is what feeds his Joker/Scoundrel persona. Like the fool he is (Prov 26:12), he attributes his success in all this to his superior skills, and doesn’t understand how God has allowed this all his life to bring him to this point. To those who are “wise in their own conceits” (Rom 12:16), God takes them “in their own craftiness” (I Cor 3:19).

Again, My Sympathies

But back to our original question, why? Why would a good God allow the earth to be subjected to the absurd pretenses and destructive paths of an obvious lifelong fraud and con man, self-obsessed and increasingly drunk on power? A man totally unqualified to be on a school board, let alone become the most powerful person in the world?

I myself was taught the Moral Government theory of the universe, that God is a sovereign Moral Governor over the affairs of men. And this is just like most people intuitively see Him to be, rewarding the righteous and punishing the wicked. Why such an exception for this one man? And why at this most crucial time in history?

The only explanation I can come up with is that God is committed to shaking everything that can be shaken, until only those things which cannot be shaken remain (Heb 12:27), and a big part of that shaking is the exposure of every evil thing currently hidden in darkness. That the world is so close to discovering just who this global, evil, child trafficking, satanic Illuminati network that Jeffrey Epstein was a part of, is a small example of this.

Like I said, Israel is God’s last stop on this, His own Revenge Tour. It is not just for two millennia now of His own relatives blaspheming His Messiah’s name throughout the earth (Eze 36:22). Israel has been involved with so much intrigue, so much criminal and deceitful behavior ever since this illegitimate Zionist project began. The Epstein scandal for instance, wherein he was a paid agent of Israel to sexually blackmail and compromise as many prominent people as he could, even of “ally nations,” is just scratching the surface.

Thus, in spite of all the destruction to come upon the earth, for all this “His hand is stretched out still” (Isa 10:4) against two “hypocritical nations”: Israel (vs. 6), and the United States (vs. 12; Rev 17:1) whom they have been “staying upon” (depending upon for security—vs. 20; Rev 11:2). Like two feral polecats brought together by fatal attraction and deserving one another, God will eventually have the last laugh (Psa 2:4).

I don’t want to see this happen to my world. I’d rather there be some less painful way for the world to get through its birth pangs into the true New Age to come, the Millennial reign of Jesus Christ. But apparently God feels this is necessary. I hope this thought helps settle your doubts about why all this must come to pass.

If there’s seven years to the Great Tribulation period, and the Abomination takes place half way through that, then that would mean Trump would have to live another 3 ½ years to the Second Coming of Christ.
