OK, Let’s Make It About Trump
- Donald Trump insists the Republicans are not polling well because he’s not on the ballot, so let’s illustrate ways large and small why he’s so unpopular.
- Small ways include posting violent animal attack videos on social media, his contempt for his fans, beating up women, and his infatuation with men.
- Large ways include his corruption, his favoring of Putin in the Ukraine War, the progress of the Iran War, and attempts to rig the election.
Though I’ve been cutting back on blog articles to find more time for a major ministry re-do, I feel I ought to say at least something in the run-up to a make-it-or-break-it election for US democracy. I’d rather be doing something more fun of course, like getting a root canal, but here goes.
Donald Trump’s denseness, pretending to not understand why he’s so unpopular, or simply declaring that he is despite an avalanche of negative polling, reminds me a lot of the Israelis who play this same game. They’re experts at their brutality while playing the victim, pretending everything is “anti-Semitism” and not the result of their own behavior. Trump likewise, is so reprobate in this trait that I’m convinced it’s a game to him, a form of recreational cruelty to the public and especially his clueless followers.
It’s not that he’s so “un-self-aware.” It’s not that he’s blind to how much he just projects on to everyone else his own guilt and faults. He is very conscious of what he says and does. When he calls people snakes, like he did in a snide, pretended allusion to Hillary 11 years ago, he knows he’s the snake, he’s the real rat who just lives to dump all over the inferior mortals that surround him (Dan 8:25).
So no, I’m not interested in following the crimes this man commits on a daily basis, and all his bottomless pathologies. I don’t have the time to keep track of his endless insults, his deliberately-offensive name-calling, smears and demonical false accusations.[1] Like I wrote in the most important article on this site, you either get who he is or you don’t, and if you don’t, it shows just how undiscerning you are, how much of your common sense and moral common sense you have already surrendered to this man.
No, no one has the time to catalog any of it anymore. De-moralizing everyone is what Donald Trump does for sport anyhow (Dan 7:25). Yet sometimes this guy “just asks for it.” He’s that dumb, he’s that arrogant (Dan 8:25),[2] he’s that obnoxious, the worst of the vintage New York City culture I remember so well growing up in.
So here is my thought. Donald Trump, in his infinite political wisdom and instincts, has declared that the reason his party is polling so dismally and will likely get an historic drubbing in the midterms, is because he’s not on the ballot!
That’s right. While every Republican running for office wishes he would just shut up or spend two months out of the country “doing something Presidential-looking,” Donald Trump has decided that the reason they’re polling so badly is because he’s not the draw. So he’s turned to the one thing he knows best—campaign rallies where he can bloviate to his heart’s content, and bathe in the adoration of his incredibly-shrinking cult of human doormats.
That this man never gets any come-uppance from terrorized Republicans, much less a Goldwater-led visit, afraid of death threats from his psychopathic followers as they are,[3] is just disgraceful. Nor from Church people who are supposed to be the conscience of a nation, the “pillar and ground of the truth” in the earth (I Tim 3:15). It all just speaks for itself.
So rather than give the screed I’d like to give, I’ll have to go to war with the screed I have—truncated, and just barely scratching the surface of all that could be said about this beast of a human being (Rev 13:1ff). As it was said about the real Jesus Christ, even the world itself could not contain the books of all He said or did (John 21:25). So is it likewise with this scatter-brained fraud of a man.
Such An Animal
So, ok, let’s make it all about him. Let’s take just a few small recent examples along with some really consequential ones to illustrate, and let’s start right there with beasts. On Saturday Oct. 13, a mentally-disturbed young man in the UK climbed into a tiger enclosure and got mauled to death.
Social media began posting, mocking the man. On Tuesday, Donald Trump posted the actual 41-second raw footage of the attack on his “Truth Social,” adding, “Don’t ever mess with nature! President DJT.” Shortly thereafter, the official White House “Rapid Response 47” team reposted it to their X account.
The next day, the man’s family issued a general plea to the internet to stop posting such savage mockery during their time of grieving.
Did Donald Trump pull his down? Do pigs fly?
Of course not. He doubled down, posting a secondary, AI-generated compilation video showing multiple people being mauled by big cats set to upbeat synthesizer music. He later followed with another video, this one AI-generated, of him chasing and wrestling the tiger to the ground and taming him.
Even if this was his media team, they wouldn’t dare do such things without “the boss’s” full approval, just the point of Hitler’s Willing Executioners.
As has been noted by historians and psychiatrists, when a narcissist rises to power, eventually the whole country is infected by his psycho and sociopathology. Just like the Bible warned about the coming of this Antichrist beast, people who profess Jesus Christ and claim to be the greatest of patriots, turn out to be deeply unserious people themselves, enabling such spectacle as part of their pathetic “agenda” of blaming everyone else for all of society’s ills.
This too is reflective of another conceit by Evangelicals—centuries of error when it comes to hamartiology or the doctrine of sin. Ever since St. Augustine was basically caught in a contradiction by the monk Pelagius, the Church world has been afflicted by the notion that all people are born sinful, rather than learn how to sin.[4]
As it’s often put in the perverse theology of MAGA Christianity, “liberals,” atheists and other religions are all agents of the Devil (“Demoncrats”), and incapable of any moral sense, intelligence or good judgment. Therefore, only they who have the Holy Spirit have the right or even the ability to rule. Everyone else is born with a “dead spirit,” and can’t help but go from bad to worse.[5]
This is the simplistic and vain mind drool taught in America’s mega-churches. This is how they define and set up the great “moral battle” they’re so perpetually on the wrong side of. This is how they content themselves with their smug “Moral Majority” self-righteousness, 14 and their divisive “us versus them” attitudes toward their fellow Americans.
But a moral sense is something all people can have, even non-Christians. Thus it is, that while Christians usually define the great moral crisis of our time in terms of sex and other lesser matters,[6] the really important moral issues of our time are money and power and war and peace. These are the only things cynical operators like Trump really care about. This is where real abuse and damage can be done. This is all the big boys in politics really care about.
Thus, the real “moral crisis” of our time is global, revolves around democracy vs. autocracy, and business, legal, criminal and moral standards vs. corruption, gangsterism and organized crime. And it’s obvious which side people like Donald Trump, Vladimir Putin and Benjamin Netanyahu come down on.
“I Could Say The Stupidest Things…”
You could? I can’t imagine such a thing.
At a recent “rally,” Donald Trump insulted his followers to their faces yet again for the umpteenth time. Or perhaps you could categorize it as damning them with faint praise. With a straight face he said, “I mean, it’s amazing. When you stand up here it’s like…the love…I could say the stupidest things, and you’d clap, oh, I love you so…”
Great. Maybe you could just shoot me in broad daylight on 5th Avenue too and put me out of my misery, so I don’t have to write about you.
Beating Up Women
At another recent rally, a woman showed up wearing a “Release The Epstein Files” t-shirt. Not exactly the smartest thing to do, showing up in a den of vipers and casting your pearls before swine. Don’t you know they’ll only turn and rend you?
But it was certainly no hanging matter. In fact, she should have gotten a medal for her sacrifice. Didn’t the Liar-in-Chief promise during the last campaign that he was going to release the Epstein Files?
Note: While the crowd mindlessly chants “USA, USA,” the guy in the black shirt punching her in the face was not arrested for assault. She was, while Trump in his infinite omniscience of course, accused her of being a “paid protestor.” But like one “No Kings” protester put it, “You don’t have to pay me to hate everything you stand for.”
Police released her, but now want her to come forward to press charges against her assailants! Go figure. What’s their problem? Bad optics? Moral confusion? But she’s probably scared spitless.
This is life in MAGA America now, gangs of men enraged by circumstances engineered by oligarchs like Trump, beating up women and bending over for a man whose heart and mouth are constantly “covered with violence” (Prov 10:6,11), posting videos of tiger attacks, and getting a kick out of all the chaos he is creating.
Obviously, we’re being trained and de-sensitized, so that when he completes his insurrection, maybe in the aftermath of this election, it will be a blood bath if necessary. I wrote years ago about how we’re whistling past the Russian cemetery with this guy. Now we’re whistling past the Trump cemetery too.
The President Is An Ass Man!
No, I didn’t say “the President is an ass, man.” God forbid. I meant he’s apparently got a “thing” for men’s asses.
Love all the kids behind him too. A real classy touch.
And oh yes, of course, he “never notices men’s bodies.” Sure.
Add them to a long list of other ways in which Trump is such a big, bad piece of a man’s man— a full face of makeup every morning, all the hair pieces patiently pasted on, all his decorating projects, his love of the Village People’s YMCA, booming Phantom of the Opera throughout the White House. No wonder Hegseth feels so inspired. Maybe all that chest-bumping, UFC trailer trash on the lawn is just a cover.
Or maybe he likes to be the dominator and so many closeted Republican men the submissive butt boys? The latest scandal to come out is a documentary Closetocracy, an interview with three male prostitutes and their history with the late Lindsey Graham. For a long time people have been suggesting changing the GOP to the Gay Old Party.
As it is with so many other things about this one-man wrecking ball, your head wants to explode on so many levels.
For one, the net effect of Donald Trump’s nihilism here is that homosexuality will now be completely normalized. When all my liberal friends point these things out, it’s always accompanied by, “Now we’re not saying there’s anything wrong with all of this, but these men claim to be the ‘family values’ people, and it’s just so hypocritical,” etc. So, the obvious outcome will be the complete normalization of sexual confusion “in the culture” that Evangelicals all swear they’re so dedicated to saving.
Another is the fact that Donald Trump apparently lives in some kind of a Chippendale/Male Revue fantasy, where “all the women are eye candy and all the men are from Central Casting.” Everything is so skin deep to this man. What about people who are not so good-looking? Don’t they count?
The Bible specifically teaches that it’s what’s inside that counts to God. Of Jesus Christ Himself it was said that, “he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him” (Isa 53:2). But He had a wildly attractive inner beauty (Mt 8:1).
When the Bible refers to a handsome man or a beautiful woman, the language usually used is “well-favored.” In other words, they were born with favor from God, but they have a duty to use it responsibly. History is replete with examples of human beings who were attractive but human devils inside. Do I need to belabor the matter, given the vain, bug-eyed narcissist before us?
Finally, and most importantly is the hypocrisy, just like all the “libtards” allege. One of the highest priorities of this supposed Dominion agenda is the revival of sex standards in “the culture.” Yet this is the spiritual state of the political party they have sold their souls to. Sexual behavior “in the culture” is actually down lately, which leads to a whole new round of hand-wringing that “people are not having enough babies.”
But babies, although extremely endearing and entertaining, cost a lot of time, money and energy. I know, I used to be one (I Cor 13:11). But there’s not a thing in the Republican agenda that actually helps family life. Instead, it’s all chock-a-block full of “tough love” measures and virtue-signaling. Just do an AI search on “What aspects of Agenda 2025 are actually detrimental to family formation?” to see a list of all the ways. All the money goes to Epstein Class oligarchs and crooks like Trump. Everyone else is on their own.
This is not a small matter. The younger generation is in despair they will ever have a life. That’s what the riots throughout Europe lately are really about.
Trump’s Corruption
For all of Donald Trump’s teeny bopper crush on the five-foot-seven Botox Boy of the Kremlin, people don’t seem to understand what’s at stake. It’s not just “freedom” in some abstract, conceptual way. To live in a kleptocracy is to live in a state of ever-worsening disrepair of everything within a society.
If there is no effective rule of law for businesses to count on, if the courts are too corrupt to guarantee just, equitable decisions, investors eventually don’t want to throw their money away into a sinkhole. Or as Trump might put it, “a shithole nation.”
Yet what caused Russia to get into such a quagmire with such a weaker opponent as Ukraine in the first place, is that the army Putin thought he had on paper is not the army he actually went to war with. In US military academies, if you so much as cheat on a test, your career is over before it even begins. In Russia, it’s how you get promoted up the ranks.
Vladimir Putin has so set a model of corruption, that every one of his military officers and defense contractors was corrupt up and down the line. Instead of delivering quality parts, they delivered shoddy ones, or none at all, pocketing the money. Everything of the Russian military was marked by institutional inertia, just a modified version of the old Soviet Red Army and its outdated doctrines.
So likewise, Trump is giving out juicy defense contracts to cronies and family members like his sons, ignoring open bidding rules and the like. It’s so bad that sometimes they just don’t bother delivering any product at all. For the first time in memory, corruption has shot to the top of issues the American people are most concerned about, even in the face of unprecedented cost of living increases.
With this administration, everyone is enriching themselves. Trump himself is something like $7 billion richer than he was in January, 2025. Laws like the Hatch Act are routinely ignored, that are supposed to keep government officials from doing anything that might be self-dealing or be conflicts of interest. All these things are the rules he plows through while he belly-aches about why the country is in decline. Yet will his apologists on the radio insist that he’s not the “man of lawlessness” (II Thess 2:3). If he isn’t, then who is?
Oh, no wait! We’ve been in a Golden Age now since he took over! Magical. Overnight. Some MAGA theologians have been promoting Postmillennialism which delusionally speaks of a Golden Age to come, and Trump figures since he’s here, it’s here already![7] What can go wrong with a guy like this at the top?
Stabbing Ukraine In The Back
Speaking of Russian assets, Donald Trump has not tried to hide how much of a rank traitor he has been at least since 1987.[8] I guess his biggest strategy has been to scream “Russia Hoax” enough times until he turns into Beetlejuice and gets to run off with his beloved boyfriend Vladimir. Rinse and repeat until the public gets numb like a battered wife (Dan 7:25).
Otherwise, it’s been pretty much out in the open. It was July, 2016, and in the heat of the campaign that he announced, “Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing.” I remember sitting there stunned, wondering if I hadn’t just heard an invitation for an enemy nation to interfere in an American election, a clear act of treason.
This particular psy op it turned out, involved the entire, vast “basket of deplorables” this man attracts that comprised his first campaign, a collective Ensemble Mind Assault[9] that left the public dizzy and disoriented. Normally, Trump’s just a one-man army at it.
This is why he gets away with murder so many times. Many heartland Americans, especially Evangelicals, are decent people and they can hardly comprehend how vicious, cynical and hard-bitten the New York City culture that spawned this man is. Having grown up in it, I experienced it first-hand. Guys like Donald Trump are a dime-a-dozen there. Most just don’t reach the level of audacity and reprobation he did. That’s his secret sauce.
When asked recently whether he trusted Benjamin Netanyahu, he said “In the world of politics, I don’t trust anyone.” Then days later gave his full-throated endorsement of the man in the Israeli election. It’s because when he does trust people, they all happen to be ruthless dictators who in turn, know how to play him like a Stradivarius. Such a nice class of people.
The one thing he does not trust is the American political system based on professional standards and a rule of law, because respect for rules and law is like garlic to a vampire to this man. He prides himself on being a cheat in everything. He prides himself on “always getting away with it.” He prides himself on being superior and feeling entitled (Dan 8:25 again).[10]

All the stink of him being a Russian asset of chaos to destroy the NATO and Western alliance began back then, in 2016. It resulted in the damning Mueller Report and the very detailed Senate Intelligence Report. From that point on, Trump had to be careful to boil the American frog slowly. But within just the last few weeks, his true colors all along have come completely out.
All this past summer, Ukraine had been racking up spectacular strikes deep inside the Russian heartland, crippling their energy sources, military production facilities and weapons systems. Putin’s government was on the verge of bankruptcy. Even his terrorized citizens began risking penal colonies to protest again.
But then South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham came back from a visit to Ukraine and suddenly died of a heart attack.[11] In memoriam to him, Congress passed a new round of sanctions against Russia to help Ukraine win the war. Yet on October 9, Trump announced he had just gotten off the phone with Putin,[12] where he agreed to a deal to buy almost 2 million metric tons of diesel from him between now and next April, “to help lower fuel costs.”
Sure. Not from Canada. And not just for the US, but for the global market!
Trump’s excuse for all this is that it’s the Ukraine War that’s driving up the cost of diesel. Yes, big bad Ukraine picking on poor little defenseless Russia![13] Not the Iran War he started, which he just declared will be over when he decides it will. No, Ukraine!
Experts have pointed out that the US consumer market alone uses up that much diesel in just half a day, so it has no impact on diesel prices ($8 a gallon in Los Angeles now). So why did he do it? Well, it may not do anything for fuel prices, but it sure helps Putin continue to kill Ukrainian civilians and make sure they all literally freeze to death if he can help it.
This he did in violation of the very law he just reluctantly signed in September. Then a week later, with an “I hereby” like he’s a king, a stroke of the pen and an executive order, waives and suspends the sanctions indefinitely! And yet it’s the “Demoncrats” that want to bring in “Communism” and destroy our Constitutional form of government, don’t you know?
And none of it even gets to the question of how much Trump will make off of this deal, if he does. We after all, have been well-trained by these two for a long time. Remember the private conference at Helsinki together without any US witnesses present, contrary to law? Corruption in this administration is so off the chart that for the first time in the history of polling, it is polling at the highest numbers ever.
The Iran War
The Iran War “will end as soon as I want it to end,” Donald Trump declared on October 15.[14]
Oh! Silly me! Somehow, I had the impression for months now that he couldn’t get it to end! At least not without tons of egg on his face and Bibi Netanyahu holding kompromat over him. Silly me.
But wait! Hold the phone! He’s now saying he’s waiting until after the election to fix it all! After that, oil prices will come tumbling down, cross his heart and hope to die.
What should we call this, his “November Surprise”? Here’s just a partial list of all of his Iran War “updates” if you’re wanting to feel numb.
In the Vietnam War, US journalists had some leeway to get their stories. In Iraq, they were restricted to being embedded. Now they’re not allowed in at all, so we’re getting no coverage on how the war is really going except through two audacious liars like Trump and Hegseth, who are threatening anyone who dares get the truth out. This is what war under a dictator is like.
Trump brags that Iranian missile attacks on Gulf State US bases are being shot down, but all the anti-aircraft defenses were moved to prevent Israel from becoming completely decimated. Service members, contractors and their families are trying to get the word out. Here is a video about it, though you might not be inclined to believe the presenter because he looks like he might be a Muslim:
Here’s a BBC report if that’s more credible to you.
Are you starting to get a pattern here? Ruthless war criminals who love excuses to target civilians, let alone innocent military personnel, all in service to their imperial vanity projects? And we’ll never know how much it personally enriches this bottomlessly-corrupt, mindless greedster and all his collabs. Gordon Gecko had nothing on these guys.
Democrats stand amazed at how much Republicans have a reputation for “loving the troops,” yet then get them in endless wars, leave them defenseless, and won’t take care of them as veterans afterwards. It’s just too expensive.
Rigging The Mid-terms
In the avalanche of lawlessness breaking forth everyday lately, especially during the rush and demands of this crucial election season, no one has the time to slow down and pay attention to strange anomalies appearing that could be taking advantage of whatever’s left of our democracy. The sudden outing of a number of fraudulent polling operations may seem trivial, but could have some huge implications for the outcome of the midterms.
That can mean going down a rabbit hole so complex, you may want to find a way to protect your sanity first if possible. It is something that has me smelling a rat, although I can’t say for sure exactly how yet.
A number of fake polling operations have suddenly been exposed in just the past few days as I write (Oct. 23), a significant part of which has to do with an apparent human chameleon that goes by the name of Jack Sims. In late 2025, Sims registered a company, SoCal Strategies in Florida no less! I highlight that because anyone who lives in the Los Angeles area knows that “So Cal” is a frequent abbreviation referring to our part of the country.
Sims at the time framed himself as a legitimate, highly-transparent Republican operative with genuine industry experience, claiming to have worked for the Citrus County (FL) Republican Executive Committee in 2022. While the public face of SoCal pretended to aggressively ramp up operations for the summer of 2026, Sims secretly filed to legally dissolve the corporation in May, even as they continued to troll forth three more fake polls!
Sims then immediately surfaced as part of a new operation, Wedgewood Polls, promoting itself as a serious bi-partisan effort led by him and a claimed progressive, Andrew Prater. Wedgewood claimed to be a “small group of industry veterans,” so small apparently that it only consists of the two of them.
In June, they opened up an account on Elon Musk’s X and began trolling fake, completely made-up data out into the rapidly-developing electoral ether, false data that was picked up by organizations as legitimate as Newsweek, the Hill, Breitbart, the Daily Beast, the Washington Examiner, the New York Times and Nate Silver.
FiftyPlusOne, a legitimate and prominent political polling organization,[15] led a number of industry investigations into these illusory services. Plowing through a lot of apparent skullduggery, impersonations, and wild goose chases, they eventually cornered Sims on October 20, who claimed now that it was all a benign hoax, an experiment to prove how easily unverified figures could be absorbed into mainstream political narratives!
Wow, how thoughtful of him. How patriotic, how responsible. Even though it was the political equivalent of an act of arson.
I think I first heard about all this when the Sekulow propagandists were “talking up” how gullible the “mainstream media” was for falling for this. I immediately took to YouTube to see what commentary I could find on these scandals.
I scrolled through posting after posting of right-wing podcasters absolutely running wild with this story. I found out later that Democrats were fuming about it too because it felt like an operation to make them look like they were behind it, especially the way Democratic candidates had been manipulated by fake poll data.
This was my first take too, that the net effect of such behavior was to “muddy up” the accuracy of legitimate polls which were predicting a huge Democratic avalanche this cycle. Where it was coming from was anyone’s guess. Given the fact that the Israeli Knesset had earlier this year approved of a $730 million budget for buying up manufactured consent around the world in the wake of the Gaza debacle, I was inclined to think that these guys had to be getting paid by somebody, and maybe it was Israel.
I can’t prove that, but true to form, the Gaslighter-in-Chief was already slamming the New York Times for fake polling based upon this scandal. Trump’s plan seems to be that if he can undermine the legitimacy of the vast majority of polling, he can use it as a fig leaf for seizing election machines, demagoguing the results, and an excuse to declare martial law, all of which he and his minions have threatened to do.
Call it “Operation Insurrection 2.0—Finishing What You’ve Started,” or whatever you like. I am still marginally hopeful any effort by him to undermine the election will not succeed, even though the prophecies say he will in the long term prosper till the end (Dan 11:36).
This article has run way too long already, just like this guy’s career in politics. But if he’s God’s chosen test for the world, he won’t come to his end until the last verse of Daniel 11. I hope you’re ready for the long haul.
Notes:
[1] The word “Devil” (Gk. diablos) means literally “slanderer or false accuser.” One of the most egregious features of our time is the wholesale, willful violation of the 9th Commandment, which prohibits “bearing false witness against thy neighbor” (Ex 20:16), a sin Donald Trump has perfected into an art form. Yet do “Christians” laugh and blow it off every time he does it. I don’t blame him for the contempt he feels toward Evangelicals.
[2] The NIV renders it, “he will consider himself superior” to everyone else. Yes, he’s that arrogant.
[3] California Senator Adam Schiff, whom Trump loves to call “Shifty Schiff” for no reason except crude alliteration, has rightly told Republicans that if they can’t take the death threats, “maybe they should try another line of work.” As a former prosecutor, he knows it from experience.
[4] This is obvious through simple observation. People grow up and learn different sin natures. What might be a temptation or fault in one person, will not be in another person’s life. Sin patterns are learned, not passed down from Adam and Eve genetically. Calvin’s emphasis on “total depravity” seems to have led to the idea that people are born with a “dead spirit,” which is not what spiritually dead means. People’s spirits can be very sensitive to the spiritual world and very active. Spiritually dead means they are not alive toward God, not in right relationship, not in right standing, etc.
[5] Without getting into the weeds too much, to quote from that Wikipedia article above about one of their deluded concepts: “Theologian Marilyn Hickey explicates this concept, teaching that 2 Thessalonians 2:7 references “the unseen and mysterious connection between a father’s sins and those of his children”; she provides an example in which if a “father is a liar and a thief, his children are prone to the same behavior”.
As if it weren’t galling enough to have anyone call Marilyn Hickey a theologian much less Wikipedia, the idea is false. The Bible is loaded with examples of sons of kings for instance, who either followed in the paths of their wicked fathers, or who did the opposite, and concluded they rather learn the right lesson and become a righteous king. So much for “unseen and mysterious” “generational curses.”
[6] This is usually defined as abortion being the great “Holocaust” of our time that will soon result in God reducing America down to ashes and brimstone if it isn’t completely outlawed. It is in reality however, a much more complex moral question as I’ve tried to “explicate” before. https://donald-trump-antichrist.com/the-churchs-idolatry-of-abortion/
[7] Ever since R.J. Rushdoony’s delusional “Biblical Law” model for society has been popularized on the right, some people have tried to revive “Postmillennialism.” It’s an eschatological model that believed that through the preaching of the Gospel coupled with scientific advancement, mankind would eventually reach a “Golden Age” that would last for an indeterminate number of centuries, after which Christ would return for the Last Judgment. I call it the default millennial view of our time because it is so much “happy talk,” so optimistic (i.e., unrealistic) and explains away present-day disturbing trends. In other words, it keeps the focus on the right-wing political agenda so we don’t have to worry about possible imminent disaster (the “Apocalypse”) just around the corner.

[9] I’d use a more colorful yet expressive phrase here, but I’m not yet to the point of muttering curses under my breath. It was all detailed in the Mueller Report. https://www.justice.gov/archives/sco/file/1373816/dl?inline=
[10] See note 2 above.
[11] So convenient. Makes you wonder if Putin and Trump were behind that too.
[12] Reports from inside the White House revealed that the two were so giddy on the call that it was hard for either to end it. Such true puppy love!
[13] If you’re curious as to why the Russian invasion failed so badly, it’s because of a culture of corruption from top to bottom in Russia. Because everyone from generals on down are on the take, good equipment or no equipment at all gets to the troops, a situation that is being copied here in US now with Trump’s cronies getting juicy contracts, some of which they are not even bothering to fill. Just do an AI query asking why did Putin’s invasion go so poorly.
